President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they floated restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to two people briefed on the meeting.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to African countries and Haiti. He then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met yesterday.
The comments left lawmakers taken aback, according to people familiar with their reactions. Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) proposed cutting the visa lottery program by 50 percent and then prioritizing countries already in the system, a White House official said.
A White House spokesman declined to offer an immediate comment on Trump’s remarks.

A liar telling the truth occasionally when it fits their needs, does not negate the lies they've told before.
Telling a lie and then telling the truth a couple of times does not make them honest. If fact, quite the contrary. It makes them dishonest.
This is why you cannot trust someone (HilLIARy Clinton) or something (Washington ComPost) ever again, if they have lied to you before.

No immediate comment might have been because of the outrageous accusations of racism implied by the questioning. Of course there’d be no comment until one knew what, and how to comment.
Had Trump actually stated such a comment those establishment Senators would have been out in force shooting off at the mouth.

Well, if he said, he’s just saying what everyone knows is true. If those countries weren’t “sh*tholes”, then people wouldn’t be so desperate to get out of them and come here.

But, however much we may find it distasteful, it's incumbent among the rationale to recognize and deal with reality.
The conceit of every generation is they think their experiences are unique. How many (b)millions have come before us, forced to discard principles in order to adapt & survive?
The cold hard cold facts are that we live in a post-constitutional world. The option of restoring the past doesn't exist. Sure, it makes for great (virtual) parlor room debates, but outside, time marches on.
Since we live in an environment ungoverned by due legal process or the rule of law, it's imperative to seize the reigns of power, if for no other reason that self-preservation. The left has been pursuing their agenda for over 100 years. Alinsky himself addressed this very question: "What do we want? We want power."
Well, the left corrupted every principle of sound governance in their quest for power. It's why 40% of the population not only doesn't care what the Hussein regime did, but rather they are bitter they weren't able pull of the final coup.
Unfortunately (for them), they fell just a little short, reminding everyone that when you attempt to kill the king, you better kill the king. So now, Trump has every tool of repression at his disposal, courtesy of the left, uni-party and deep state.
The reality then is, it's better for us to be in charge than them. The trick is to reverse the playbook in order to ensure a 50 year reign for our side.

What are the politically correct academics and big corporates wanting—more people setting other people on fire in our streets? Were that many bosses being allowed to pester and attack other children during their childhoods (spoiled rotten)? Maybe some of our bosses should go back to their old countries.

Agreed. Although incarceration of the worst 1000 RATS might forestall the Left’s complete advocacy of lawlessness, along with asset forfeiture.
