Folks, stores that are not making money, should be closed.
That keeps the company healthy.
As Capitalists, we all know that.
Whining about folks who lost their jobs isn’t reasoned here.
Walmart could have just closed the stores and given no raises.
You're right to a degree. But the tax cut has been touted as a turnaround tonic. It's just ironic they gave it with one hand and took it away with another. And as other folks have noted, wages go up.........hours go down. And store managers are under great pressure to reduce cost and improve margins. The increase only makes it more difficult.
It's a great headline. The details are a little harder to come by.
