After President Donald Trump referred to a potential DACA deal bill as a “bill of love” in a bipartisan White House meeting, Trump’s 2016 presidential opponent and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush tweeted support for Trump’s immigration discussions.

It is fascinating the way that Trump uses rhetoric. He doesn’t really stick to the script but instead will port in words that look odd but reach other audiences, often international audiences. “Fire and fury” which Wolff has ridiculed is such a thing, “bill of love” may well be another.

Proust, Trump’s words of yesterday cannot be sanely contextualized. At least yesterday, he proved that he is simply not truly committed to stopping our descent into Third Worldism.
I am furious. Too many supporters are covering for him, IMO, and pretending that they didn’t hear what he said.

Donald, if Jeb and Lindsey think you’re doing the right thing, you’re doing the wrong thing.

I heard what he said and contexualize it as negotiation talk. We got to see how the sausage is made and no one liked it. If he literally would “sign anything” the meeting would have been 1 minute long instead of an hour and the signing would take place tomorrow. Talk is cheap.

And what has he done? Held an open meeting. He also meet with Al Gore and DiCaprio before pulling out of the Paris Accord and TPP, but let’s get our Trump bashing on now, right?

John Ellis Bush... aka “JEB BUSH, is nothing but a former Gov. of FL. , and son of a former POTUS and brother of POTUS...

HE HOLDS NO POLITICAL OFFICE and never will again..so why do we care what he has to say? He seems to think he is an important person? he is just ‘low energy’ who loves himself..

NO MORE BUSH’S EVER AGAIN..period.

Where was Trump’s hard-line initial negotiating position? Where was the explanation of our need for immigration enforcement, including a wall? Not one FReeper would have allowed Jeb! to spew pabulum like this.

Trump is a pragmatist, not an idealist. He will absolutely compromise in an effort to get the best deal he can. He will give on the DACA issue because we have already shelled out a ton of money educating them and because 85% of the public are for them. It is what it is, and before the San Francisco judge intervened and deprived the POTUS of this as a negotiating lever he was working on ending chain migration and building the wall.

The media are suddenly in love with Trump.

If he grants amnesty I will be showing democrats how I do NOT blindly follow my candidate.

85% are FOR them? If true, that’s b/c Trump and others refuse to do the necessary apologetics to sway opinion. Yesterday exemplified a shameful capitulation to lawlessness. More gasoline was poured onto our fragile Constitution.

You are not alone.

And if you watched the video, Trump pretty much labeled us immigration hawks as "far right".

This is not a promise that is being kept and it will lead to not only huge losses in 2020, probably a complete loss to the dems as states convert to blue with dacas. Then maybe civil war 2.

I don't know what happened but Trump in that meeting is not the man I voted for. Cue all the "oh this is a deep strategy" comments....but how do you get past him saying he will sign whatever they bring him on daca?

Stop playing checkers and get a grip. That was all beltway theater yesterday. There is no point in parsing every word in that meeting and worrying about it. This is psywar and the Dems want to depress support for POTUS.
