WASHINGTON Tom Steyer, the billionaire environmentalist and Democratic political donor, announced Monday that his advocacy group, NextGen America, will spend $30 million to help Democrats retake the House in 2018, with the aim of eventually impeaching President Trump.
Mr. Steyer also announced that he would not run for Senate or governor in California, as had been speculated. Mr. Steyer, who was a major donor to President Barack Obamas 2012 campaign, emerged as the largest single political donor of the 2014 midterm election. His group spent $74 million to back Democrats that year, and $87 million in the 2016 elections.
But most of the candidates he backed in those elections lost. This time, he said, his strategy will shift.
Rather than focusing on climate change as an issue to rally young voters, as he had tried since 2010, he will focus on whatever issues will help Democrats win a majority in the House in order to impeach Mr. Trump.
We are really focused on removing this president, Mr. Steyer said.

from Wikipedia:
Steyer is the founder and former co-senior managing partner of Farallon Capital and the co-founder of OneCalifornia Bank, which became (through merger) Beneficial State Bank, an Oakland-based community development bank. Farallon Capital manages $20 billion in capital for institutions and high-net-worth individuals. The firm's institutional investors include college endowments and foundations.Since 1986, Steyer has been a partner and member of the Executive Committee at Hellman & Friedman, a San Francisco-based $8 billion private equity firm.
Why doesn’t he use that 30 million to feed the “poor?”
Because democRATS want to use everybody else’s money but theirs!
“Tom Steyer, the billionaire environmentalist ...”
SO... he was part of the CLIMATE CHANGE PAY TO PLAY scheme ?
Suppose for the moment that somebody just donated 50 million to “remove “ Mr. Steyer, do I hear 75 million?
It just goes to show how stupid you can be today and still be a billionaire.
lol,30 mil is chump change to this guy.Just shows his heart aint in it.

Proving that Liberalism IS a mental disease
A cunning stunt.
I personally think he has something to hide and this why he is going after Trump so hard. He wants him gone before Trump looks under the correct rock.
billionaire environmentalist and Democratic political donor
His livelihood is threatened
And who said that Democrats despise plutocrats...?
How.... does this PAY?
Think, think, think.
This the same guy who is a big-time clean energy and environmental alarmist. I guarantee he has never spent a dime giving poor people solar panels or electric vehicles but spends millions trying to impeacb Trump.
I’m reading that Tom Steyer was a frequent flyer on the Lolita Express. If true, he’s trying to save his perverted butt from going to prison for 100 years.
So, climate change isn't that important after all, is it, Mr. Steyer? It's just a scare tool for getting power.
30 million into toilet
To impeach a president you need a super majority of senators to proceed. That would only happen in some obvious and egregious act that was overwhelmingly supported by popular opinion.
Good grief, this kind of talk is just stupid.
Bill Clinton, an obvious cad, nowhere near being removed from office. The public was just not willing to throw him out of office, and democrats were in no way willing to toss him out.
“A billionaire spending only 30 million? Not too committed to the cause.”
Yes, when you consider Hitlary spent a billion loosing, a mere $30 million is just this guy pi$$ing into the wind.
When you have at least a thousand million, (Billion) spending 30 is chump change. The man is dangerous and is a home grown Soros. Both need to be stopped.
