Billionaire to Spend $30 Million on 2018 Elections. His Aim: Impeach Trump

WASHINGTON — Tom Steyer, the billionaire environmentalist and Democratic political donor, announced Monday that his advocacy group, NextGen America, will spend $30 million to help Democrats retake the House in 2018, with the aim of eventually impeaching President Trump.

Mr. Steyer also announced that he would not run for Senate or governor in California, as had been speculated. Mr. Steyer, who was a major donor to President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, emerged as the largest single political donor of the 2014 midterm election. His group spent $74 million to back Democrats that year, and $87 million in the 2016 elections.

But most of the candidates he backed in those elections lost. This time, he said, his strategy will shift.

Rather than focusing on climate change as an issue to rally young voters, as he had tried since 2010, he will focus on whatever issues will help Democrats win a majority in the House — in order to impeach Mr. Trump.

“We are really focused on removing this president,” Mr. Steyer said.

Maybe the DOJ should go on offense and investigate these people?

Funny how our side dared not get bogged down sueing Obama in impeachment but these people make it popular to currently bog down the country with this complete nonsense

Hate. Hate is what motivates the Democrat Party. Hatred of Liberty. Hatred of America. Hatred of God.

Why is this even Legal? Our system encourages vote fraud and the rich buying elections.

Tom is desperate to get rid of Trump because if Trump digs deep enough, Tom will go to jail. (Tom is in Podesta’s emails).

I’ve heard that back in the sixties or 70’s up in Telluride, Colorado the hippies started moving into town and voting and got all the hippies on the town council. They would pass all sorts of goofy laws but not take care of the stuff that mattered (like clean drinking water). The FBI(?) came in undercover, and once they had enough information they busted them all for drugs and what not.

Hippies never change I guess - now they just have more money.

These are the same Democrats who rail on and on about lobbyists and evil corporations buying government and how citizens United needs to be overturned and yadda yadda...

And yet they’ll happily throw billions to try to buy an election to ... to do what? Form a better government? Hell no - to impeach the legally and successfully elected sitting president!

Where’s Harry Reid and Al Franken and Nancy Pelosi and fauxcahontess John McCain now decrying this?

Just crickets...
