Sounds like the writer is referring to Progressives and their 100-year+ effort to destroy the foundations of liberty as conceived and structured by America's Founders and Framers of its Constitution for a government of limited powers.

These people think that they should be like demi-gods and rule over everyone else. They think that they are morally and intellectually superior to all others. And since they think that they should not be accountable to anyone else, they rule out even the possibility of the existence of God. I have seen these arrogant traits in several Liberal/Leftists that I know.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I believe Linda Kimball is genuine here, and in this piece tries to assemble the evidence from their quotations. She is very descriptive in her language and may put some readers off by being overly dramatic, but this Humanist Elite replacing God activity has been infiltrating Western society longer than Marxism has.

I have seen these arrogant traits in several Liberal/Leftists that I know.
