The phrases “falling away” and “love waxing cold” come to mind.
My wife & I aren’t near perfect when it comes to reflecting Christ’s Perfect Love, and I can easily see myself being one of those who fits the above description - at least I’m honest.
This is something I pray about daily. Patience, love, kindness, gentleness. Who has that anymore?
Maranatha!
God wants hearts after Him.
Not that He finds sin acceptable, but He does know we’re going to fall and He chooses to overlook that and use us anyway, and then go on to reward us for what we do manage to get right.
You’d have something to worry about if you ever find yourself having a cavalier attitude towards sin. As long as your heart is right, I wouldn’t let the enemy guilt trip you about not being perfect.
Ask forgiveness for the times you fail and move on.
