you mean hand in the taxpayer funded bag of goodies.
It’s true, as many posters allude to, it’s a matter of demographics.
Thankfully, even if some are disenchanted with Bannon and Breitbart and Buchanan has been telling us this for a long time, I’d hope and think Trump would be well aware of this. In ways, I can wonder if it is already too late. The election of Doug Jones in Alabama already shows a lot of this is just about getting the vote out.
It’s kind of sad, that we have evolved into a country and our elections could be determined largely on identity politics on racial and ethnic lines. I’m not sure why others don’t see this.
I get everyone getting pissy over daca. I get all of it and agree. We also must recognize we have reached a now or never moment. There is zero chance we will get everything we want. Zero chance. As an earlier post said there’s only 800k so put that limit in. Next up criminals, welfare leaches and non English speakers tough sh!t. Add an end to chain and diversity immigration and a border wall. We will not only never get a better shake we will never have another chance at this one (assuming this one has a chance.) Never, zero chance, reality, welcome to the conversation but please don’t kill the translator. Get it done under Trump or forget it. Also of note EO’s won’t get it either we want law.
Absolutely agree. Snide remarks about Republican sell-outs aside [well it’s not an aside because they are a roadblock in pushing through a deal], I support a package deal resolution to this problem. But’s all - yeah you guys get DACA [which we don’t want - except see note about Republican sellouts above] and now here is what we get. No deal, well then, no deal.
I don’t consider President Trump a republican. I don’t consider myself one either. I consider very few republicans “conservatives” and even fewer as brave. If we can’t have the whole deal then I’d say no deal too. I also believe President Trump is of the same mind. I only hope he and the few “conservatives “ are enough to hold the republicans back to secure that deal.
Also many seem to confuse a daca deal with voters. A daca deal can let them stay without citizenship! So as another deal requirement throw in national voter id laws.
I think you are being very optimistic. "All that other stuff" means the end of the Rat party and the Rats know it. Trump needs to hang tuff. The rats will do everything possible to keep chain migration and prevent merit based immigration.
