It is one of the most shocking and drastic shakeups of the District Attorney's Office that anyone can recall.
But it most definitely should not come as any surprise to those who had been following the campaign promises of Larry Krasner.
The purge was on full display as the file boxes kept rolling out of the D.A.'s office.
Thirty-one staffers, including a number of murder squad prosecutors, high ranking deputies and division chiefs were among those terminated.

From the article (this explains it all):
Krasner has been a critic of what he calls mass incarceration. He vows to not pursue death sentences and backs the idea of safe injection sites for heroin users.
He would also like to see the use of cash bail scaled back and eventually eliminated.
Gee, contrast the tone of this ABC News story to the tone we would get if PDJT sent dozens of DOJ and FBI staffers packing.
What were the “campaign promises of Larry Krasner.”? To let all the bad guys out and not lock any more up?
You’d think that Philadelphians would been smart enough to look at what’s happened to the city a little bit south where the cops stopped policing. Expect the same outcome in Philly.
No kidding. Remember the recent City Council vote to ban plexiglass barriers in ghetto liquor and convenience stores?
Expect crime numbers to spiral OUT OF CONTROL
The new Philly DA is a far left kook - even by Philly standards.
He is also flaming homo.
The gay gestapo is coming...

Our son works in NYC, but the CEOs are in Philadelphia. He calls it ‘Kill-adelphia’ and avoids it at all cost.
Wow, Philadelphia is following in Baltimores footsteps. This will not turn out well for its citizens particularly its black citizens who will likely see black-on-black crime and murders gradually soar.
Not unlike that idiot council woman who got bullet proof windows in shops banned because they hurt the feelings of robbers.

You mean the same Philly where they are forcing store owners to take down their protective glass because it offends the ferals?
This is all being done for one reason. So the Democrats can take back Pennsylvania in 2020. No sane state should allow this to happen.
Yes I do. So the city is mandating removal of protection against the ferals and the DA is putting out the welcome mat for criminals in general. How soon before it is open season on anyone who doesn't hold his gun sideways?
My practice is to not visit any city of more than 75,000 persons if I can avoid it.
In cities, size matters. When a city grows above the 75K range government and policing become impractical if not impossible.
With human habitation smaller is better. If you know everyone in town you know who to avoid and who is trustworthy.
They're going to cause "man made disasters" in the cities, and then blame them on PDJT in 2020.
I forgot about them making it open season on store clerks.
It’s a race against Time now. Will crime soar quickly enough so the Dems lose in 2020? Or will the “peace” (such as it is in Phila) be maintained 18 months so tje Dems can win.
Inner city voters never fail to amaze me. Strict law & order policing and prosecuting equals racism in their minds...until crime soars and people beg for help. See Chicago and Baltimore.
During his campaign, he said he proudly represented Occupy Wall Street and BLM.
This is Philly we’re talking about. ‘Nuff said.
You are probably right, but how will they twist the truth to blame him?
