LONDON (Reuters) - The author of a book that is highly critical of Donald Trumps first year as U.S. president said his revelations were likely to bring an end to Trumps time in the White House.
Michael Wolff told BBC radio that his conclusion in Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House-- that Trump is not fit to do the job -- was becoming a widespread view.
I think one of the interesting effects of the book so far is a very clear emperor-has-no-clothes effect, Wolff said in an interview broadcast on Saturday.
The story that I have told seems to present this presidency in such a way that it says he cant do his job, Wolff said.
Suddenly everywhere people are going oh my God, its true, he has no clothes. Thats the background to the perception and the understanding that will finally end ... this presidency.
Trump has dismissed the book as full of lies. It depicts a chaotic White House, a president who was ill-prepared to win the office in 2016, and Trump aides who scorned his abilities.

Of course not. Off the record means not for attribution.

This oughta help.
If Wolff thinks Trump is such an unqualified boob, how does he explain Hillary losing to him? Trump was too dumb an opponent for her? He was unexpectedly stupid? He wanted to lose and therefor won?
Here is an idea Wolff. He has gotten inside the libs OODA loop, and you don’t even know it. He’s following the ancient Chinese 36 Strategies while you’re thinking linearly.
Strategy 20 - Fish in disturbed waters.
Before engaging your enemy’s forces create confusion to weaken his perception and judgment. Do something unusual, strange, and unexpected as this will arouse the enemy’s suspicion and disrupt his thinking. A distracted enemy is thus more vulnerable.
Strategy 27 - Pretend to be a pig in order to eat the tiger.
Hide behind the mask of a fool, a drunk, or a madman to create confusion about your intentions and motivations. Lure your opponent into underestimating your ability until, overconfident, he drops his guard. Then you may attack.

It seems to me that only a small fraction of the RATS will read his book, and since he has stated that parts of his book are fiction it’s a minefield for even for the media to quote it as fact.
IMHO it will not hurt Trump at all.
Trump will still be our president!
After first seeing Wolff’s picture, I thought for a second he looked like Doug Schoen, the Democrat pollster, and one of the few semi-reasonable libs left standing.
WRONG, you creep. It’s the guy we had to suffer through for 8 years who was naked!!!!!
This guy thinks pretty highly of himself, doesn’t he? Because he writes something and people are dumb enough (ala Clinton voters) to buy his trash, he will bring down a president? We can peg every stupid person standing in line to buy that tripe as one of the terribly, terribly disappointed “Hillary didn’t win” nut jobs!
Bannon is a backstabber for sure—you are so right on that. He’s now officially working on the side of the Trump-haters. What he imagined he would gain from this is anyone’s guess. He’s burned his bridges and betrayed Trump’s trust—hardly resume enhancers.
I read that the WH did not respond immediately, giving Bannon time to do so, Bannon finally had a statement ready to release saying what he said was taken out of context, then Trump went after him, so Bannon just said forget it.
Yup. If the progs keep on this path the most likely result is civil war. And I do not say the lightly.
The lefties are readying the “New York Times Company v. Sullivan” angle if it comes to that.
Hmmmm....guess I am behind the curve on the Gorilla Channel.

The only way to truly be free from DC is thru state secession, and no, that doesn’t mean a war either.
This book is nothing but Prog Porn. It’s meant to give the wackos wet dreams. This guy invented a narrative that doesn’t exist, but gives rise to a new ‘sure thing’ now that Russia is fading off the radar. This despite the fact that in has already proven to have dozens of errors and inaccuracies. People listed who weren’t there, comments that have been debunked, and discounted premises by those who were there during the election and know what the campaign was seeing in the closing days.
I didn’t realize that any FReepers didn’t know it was a parody.
‘I read that the WH did not respond immediately, giving Bannon time to do so’
Where did you read this?
Buy my book...please.
I am sure Bannon is preparing a defamation/slander law suit against Wolff and Bannon’s lawyers told him to shut up.
I well remember the three rallies a day in different states, the midnight rallies, the energy the candidate and the huge crowds exhibited, the will to win and the confidence of wining, all of which belie "he did not intend to win and didn't expect to win."
