Sessions has publicly stated the reason is because there is a DOJ policy that requires it - that prohibits you from investigating a political campaign of anyone that you have actively campaigned against as part of an election.
And most of us that are disappointed in Sessions haven't focused much on WHY he was recused, we just know that he IS recussed and therefore isn't a fully capable AG at a time of great importance. He appears selfish for not stepping aside, as one of his arms is clearly tied behind his back, whether that tying is appropriate or not is fairly irrelevant in light of the size and scope of the current battlefield.
He's an injured solider, possibly through no fault of his own, that needs to be replaced by someone with full capacity to fight. Sessions can serve elsewhere, instead, if the President still wants him. This isn't even relevant to this thread and most people are simply sick of hearing his name since he's unable to perform in the frontline battles. Thanks!
I’m a little confused here. What exactly would you like to see happening right now that can’t happen because of Sessions’ recusal?
