Any FReeper beat 181 mph on land?
Flying doesn't count.

She was traveling to see her ailing 89 year old mom....in upstate NY. Going 119 in a 65 mph zone.

Nope.
Most I've done was around 140 on a straight section of very empty highway in Wyoming with miles of excellent visibility. I ran the car up to the speed limiter and the computer killed the fuel pump until it dropped down to 90, then it started running again.

181? Not even close for me! 147 in my 69 Chevelle, 135 in my 2003 Nissan Altima, and 120 on my 77 RD400 motorcycle. It took me a long time to get from 118 to 120 on my RD400 and had to blow a 4 way stop sign to do it. It was early in the morning and not another soul in sight.
I've lost the cops 6 times
I've given up on high speeds, and it's about time.

140 in a Mercedes E430. Wide open highway early in the morning.
It felt like 60.
BTW, I took that car in for service and told them there was a slight shimmy around 120. The mechanic didn’t blink an eye and said he’d check it out. :)

Not even close for me. My best was 117 through the lights at a drag strip riding a 4 cylinder “metric” back in the days when I believed I wad immortal.
