After the state convicted my son at the age of 12 of being an "unruly and unmanageable child" they forced him to submit to a psychiatric evaluation. At the end of his evaluation the psychiatrist sat down with my wife, my son and myself and delivered her diagnosis. My son suffered from Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

That's odd I said. My wife immediately face-palmed. My son snickered and the clueless little dipshit missed the joke and thought I was being serious with her and went merrily on her way telling us what a horrible disorder it was and how difficult it was going to be to treat. My son and I of course spent the next 20 minutes laughing at her without her ever catching on.

Those were some mighty good times I had back then teaching my boy the joy of standing up for himself and laughing at the fools that think they rule him. And now twenty years later, with 2 advanced degrees, 2 tours of the sandbox, a well paying job, a wife that loves him and 2 kids that worship him he is still a high spirited young man and with what little free time his busy life leaves him he enjoys reading and posting on Free Republic!
