Trump dissolves voter fraud commission after states balk at data requests
Fox News ^ | January 3, 2018 | Samuel Chamberlain

President Trump announced late Wednesday that he had disbanded his controversial "election integrity" commission and blamed a refusal by more than a dozen states to provide what he called "basic information."

"Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense, today President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order to dissolve the Commission, and he has asked the Department of Homeland Security to review its initial findings and determine next courses of action," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

The commission, led by Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, had asked all 50 states and the District of Columbia to hand over reams of personal voter data, including voters' names, voting histories and party affiliations.

Multiple states -- including Virginia, Kentucky, and California -- as well as D.C. declined to comply with the commission's requests.

Donald Trump:

Dear USSC. We have uncovered evidence of massive voter fraud, but some states simply won't cooperate. This has become an issue of national security. Please help.

USSC: Ok. We hereby declare that the states proved by President Trump to be not cooperative may not hold elections until the USSC has ironclad proof that their elections are free of any possibility of voter fraud.

A LOT of bad news today. This is really really bad news. Could cost the house and more. I don’t get it.

I’d expect to see some sort of legislation, legal action, or regulatory response. Seriously doubt we’ve heard the last of this.

“A LOT of bad news today. This is really really bad news. Could cost the house and more. I don’t get it.”

The start of the new year just did a 180.

Up to today everything looked so rosy, and the Rats were on the run.

Suddenly we’re playing defense again.

I may be getting spoiled and originally thought the tweets were ‘childish’ BUT he has won me over simply because they are very effective.

SO - as to being spoiled - I would suspect something like this coming from HIM means somebody had better stand by for a ram OR it just will mean the FED will step in and not allow participation without certification, with those certified being held responsible for ANY fraud, no matter how slight.

Sometimes it takes a whack up long side the head to get someones full attention...

Look for some goodies headed for these so called ‘septic sanitation’ cities....

Do you really think a commission is going to do any good? This is GREAT news! It shows that Trump is serious about the problem. His first attempt failed. But he has learned. He WILL try again. It also clearly exposes which states are obstructionists that are obviously steeped in voter fraud. I absolutely love how Trump shuts down wasteful things that aren’t working.

The 2018 election is not going to hinge on the disbanding of a commission most of America has never heard of.

Huh? How is this bad news? The fact that somebody is finally making states responsible for accurate reporting is bad news?

Except for Kentucky, (Mitch McConnell?) places you would expect there to be rampant voter fraud.

I sure hope he has a better idea. This is so, so important.

As far as I am concerned, we need to take a single important election apart done onto a microscopic level. We need to make sure everything is videotaped so as to make sure that there can be no mistake as to the authenticity of the findings. I don’t care how much it costs. I don’t care if the Republican party has to pick up the whole tab. It could have been done with the Moore election. It needs to be done. What will be discovered will be astronomic.
