'The book is clearly going to be sold in the bargain fiction section,' began the first lady's Communications Director Stephanie Grisham.
'Mrs. Trump supported her husband's decision to run for president and in fact, encouraged him to do so,' Grisham said in a statement put out Wednesday. 'She was confident he would win and was very happy when he did.'
More broadly, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the tome was 'filled with false and misleading accounts from individuals who have no access or influence with the White House.'
'Participating in a book that can only be described as trashy tabloid fiction exposes their sad desperate attempts at relevancy,' Huckabee Sanders said of Wolff's sources.
So,... much,... BULLSHIT!
This is such garbage. President Trump said when they were discussing him running Melania told him “you know, if you run you will win”.
I don’t envision Melania Trump EVER dissolving into a tearful state. She’s a rock.
FLOTUS did not look at all upset on election night. This book belongs in the fiction section.
What a joke, the excerpt alone reference the same line only 4 times. There’s nothing else to the story other than a one-liner.
This is really becoming a farce and seems like the other works of fiction this guy peddled....
From all I’ve been reading about Wolff’s book, it’s nothing more than one more hit job on the President.
I hope the President and Melania hit Wolfe hard with a slander lawsuit.
I’m furious!! FLOTUS is elegant and dignified and she’s a little bit shy, but it’s obvious she is enjoying her job. She is wonderful with children. I love this First Lady. Even if these idiots don’t like the President, they should leave Melania alone.
The story I read was that President Trump told Melania that he was thinking of running for President and she replied, “you know you’ll win if you run”.
Doesn’t quite square with this story.
What about all those claims that he was Hitler, wanted to be a dictator, intent on trashing the Constitution?
It was really obvious that Trump wanted to throw the election, the way he was campaigning nonstop, the way he dis-assembled Hilary during that second debate where the alphabet pundits were pondering if he would even show up, and if he did would he bow out of the race in the first three minutes.
Even if it’s true (and I doubt it), Trump has FAR exceeded expectations, and he’s only warming up. For a guy who was “afraid” of the Presidency, he’s pretty much taken it on like he was born to it.
Maybe she was laughing so hard at Hillary, she was in tears.
I feel better about this then the gleeful cackling of HilLIARy.
True class not to crave power but accept it with dignity when thrust upon you.
The book is clearly an absolute hit piece on President Trump.
Consider all the emotional states attributed to people, when they cannot be known.
The author is laughing all the way to the bank. He has given the Progressives what they want. They will buy millions of copies and claim it is sacred scripture.
He is known for fabricating quotes.
From his Wikipedia page:
“In its review of Wolff’s book Burn Rate, Brill’s Content criticized Wolff for “apparent factual errors” and said that 13 people, including subjects he mentioned, complained that Wolff had “invented or changed quotes”.[21]

Learn how to excerpt. Same “she was in years” is repeated 4 times. It’s effing rude.
Here is a key excerpt the Washington Post printed:
“In his introduction, Wolff acknowledges this is an imperfect exercise and often a daunting challenge. Here’s a key excerpt pulled by Benjy Sarlin:
“Many of the accounts of what has happened in the Trump White House are in conflict with one another; many, in Trumpian fashion, are baldly untrue. Those conflicts, and that looseness with the truth, if not with reality itself, are an elemental thread of the book. Sometimes I have let the players offer their versions, in turn allowing the reader to judge them. In other instances I have, through a consistency in accounts and through sources I have come to trust, settled on a version of events I believe to be true.”
In other words, the author himself tells us this is the version he wants us to believe, or is most self-serving.
I really wonder if he had the access he claims. It seems unlikely, but It cannot be ruled out.
There aint no way this Slovenian Olympic skier would have “chick tears” like this as described in the book.
