Land of leaving: Moving companies rank Illinois No. 1 for outbound vans
Studies by two major American moving companies rank Illinois as the top outbound state of 2017.
On Jan. 2, United Van Lines released its 41st annual National Movers Study and Atlas Van Lines released its 2017 Migration Patterns study. United based the study on its customers household moves made in 2017, and Atlas studied nearly 73,000 interstate and cross-border relocations of household goods from Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 15, 2017.
In both studies, Illinois was home to the highest rate of outbound moves in the nation. Uniteds study found that in 2017, 63 percent of Illinois moves were outbound rather than inbound, and Atlas found Illinois had an outbound rate of 62.4 percent.
These studies dovetail with recently released migration data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the IRS, which show Illinois is failing to attract residents.

Where are they moving to?
Maybe Illinois could build a wall, but not keep people out.
Now where have I seen that before?
There’s a feeling I get, when I look to the west...
West Michigan.
Thanks, Illinoids.
Well, we moved to Georgia after a short stay in Wisconsin. The folks I know in Illinois talk about Tennessee and Texas.
Wisconsin, Indiana, and Texas.
How many more have to leave until they lose a House Seat?
I hope its the conservatives leaving Illinois and not the socialists spreading their disease.
Indiana is thankful for Illinois and Michigan. They have driven a lot of business our way.
“Furthermore, these arent simply retirees looking for warmer weather. Millennials are leading the retreat from Illinois, according to IRS data. And IRS data also show Illinois lost people on net to every neighboring state in tax year 2015.”
Where are they moving to?

Anywhere there is lower taxes ... Illinois is what happens after decades of Democrat control - big: union pensions, welfare, more spending than revenue, etc. The fix? Raise taxes ... More spending. The fix? Raise taxes - repeat until everybody leaves.
Not NYS, I’ll bet....
Rauner candidates face backlash after sanctuary state, abortion bills
November 1, 2017
Bruce Rauner started padding the bank accounts of pet Republican candidates and non-profit groups in the wind-up to his gubernatorial announcement as early as 2013. What did Rauner want in return?
Loyalty. Compliance. Obedience.
Rauner promised cash for Republican obedience
Everything was peachy for Rauners pets until he signed SB31 into law and made Illinois a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants in late August. In late September, he signed HB40 making taxpayer-funded abortion the law of the land in Illinois and made history as the first U.S. Governor to force taxpayers to fund abortion.
Rauners pets are stuck with a very rotten peach.
This Illinois GOPs doggy show has been a complete disaster but the real question is will Rauners pet candidates survive the midterm elections or will they fall?
We left the south suburbs of Chicago in 2002. Leaving was the gift that kept on giving.
I hope it’s not Indiana and it probably won’t be. They consider us Hoosiers as redneck hicks, a notion I’m in no hurry to disabuse them of.
Illinois is failing because of Cook County (the county of embattled Chicago) and the counties that surround it. Subtract those out and the state has the potential to be actually pretty well off, especially since they can tap into the agricultural base.
Oh yea. We’re worse than Kentucky. Just keep on moving.
There are many counties, cities, towns and villages in Illinois that hit home sellers with a tax or penalty if they do not buy another house within the same political subdivision. In my town, if I sell my house and do not buy another one in the same town I will get hit. There are a lot of things I dislike about Illinois, but it is still light years better than California (except for weather), which I left almost 40 years ago.
Ill-n-annoyed is like Caleefornnneeaa less the beaches, mountains and nice weather.
We are looking at Texas and Nevada.

Whats the difference voting for a DemRat or RINO in ILL? either ones stab you in the back and the end results are the same except the RINO’s lie to you voters.
