The issue has two parts: 1) what questions are asked in the census (I think Congress has the legitimate authority to legislate this).

2) use citizen count only to determine redistricting (would require a Constitutional Amendment per stated amendment process).

which will never happen so this is nothing more than grandstanding by a congress critter who, by his own words, shows utter contempt for the constitution ...

Concur. I never open the door unless the camera shows the fedex truck and the guy is in uniform.

If the unlikely event they have a warrant, then I guess they’re gonna come in to quote the Grateful Dead.
