This morning on Facebook, I saw a post from a Walmart store stating that due to administrative delays by the state of California, they are temporarily unable to sell ammunition.
On January 1, a new California law took effect requiring all ammunition to only be sold in person, and only through a licensed vendor. The law required the Department of Justice to implement new regulations before July 2017. However, those regulations were delayed and will likely not take effect until mid-January at the earliest. That means there is now a gap in which law-abiding citizens cannot buy ammunition from many California vendors. Their Second Amendment rights have been restricted by the state. The right to keep and bear arms means nothing without ammo. That is a backdoor gun ban. That is called tyranny, even if it is only temporary and due to bureaucratic incompetency.
This now appears to be the method that liberals will use to attack our inherent natural rights that they oppose. California has written and passed law after law restricting gun rights for its law-abiding citizens. The state government, politicians, and liberal voters have somehow failed to comprehend that these laws will have no effect on criminals who ignore them anyway.
Murderers, robbers, terrorists, and other miscreants will still use their illegal and illicit methods of getting guns and ammo. In the meantime, the good guys with guns will be fighting bureaucratic battles and anti-gun administrators.
In one county with a population of over 10 million, only 197 citizens have been issued concealed carry.

Most of those “liberals” came from flyover country in the old days. Now they’re from turd world hell-holes.
You know, if something is important (like your home), you stay and fight for it.
It bothers me to see Conservatives turn tail and run.
How much of this nation do we surrender before we stand up and say enough is enough?
In my case I didn't run, my wife got a promotion and a transfer to Georgia. In NH there is nowhere to run to. Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts and Canada are on the borders and even today they are much worse. FR is also based out of California, so they all haven't left yet. They are just massively outnumbered.
There are a number of people on the forum who seem to take pleasure in mentioning they left California and can’t imagine how it got this bad. Yes they’re thrilled they left just in time, before it became heavily Leftist.
It gets old after a while.
My comments weren’t intended to be focused on you, but I can see how you might have thought so.
I’m here because I was born in Glendale, California, and I’m not surrendering my home town to anyone.
In it I am vastly outnumbered. The place has become a hell-hole of sorts. Yes it has some modern trappings but the city leadership has turned it into a real crap sandwich.
People from all over avoid the city like the plague. It now has the charming distinction of having the worst driving record in the nation.
Most of the Americana type food places have long since closed up.
The city streets that were already just clogged at rush hour, now have approximate 25 new multi residence buildings.
I have no idea how traffic will flow now. It’s beyond reason. I guess when it’s a parking lot, they’ll finally get the message.
Go to hell.
Not everyone has the option of leaving.
Go to hell.
Not everyone has the option of leaving.
On probation?
What federal law allows you to do that?
Firearms Owners Protection Act
I have been stopped at those “fruit inspection stations” and had the car searched by both DHS and a narco-cop-dog.
Really. The dog “triggered” (ha ha) to dope in the car, which is pretty funny, considering not even a cigarette had ever been smoked in it. Half an hour later my MOTHER and I were allowed to proceed.
Don’t lie. The po-po DO use those as random illegal search depots. BTDTGTS.
Lie????!!!!
Ive been through those stops 100 times. We roll down the window and they ask if we have any fruits or vegetables. A simple no gets us waved through.
No reason to be an ass.
