It takes a little while to freeze back over, especially if you put warm water in it. That’s what I did. I’d also go out and just break the top skin of ice and toss the ice chunks and add warm water from a pitcher.
And then there were times it was so frozen I had to dump the whole thing and start over. That was usually when I woke up since Hubby didn’t keep an eye on it.

Is there a thrift store in your area? You could get a blanket for a buck or two at a store like that. Bet Ghost would really like that! LOL

He’s got water now. :) Going to a thrift store is a good idea....or to the dollar store. I’ll think of something to help him stay warmer.

Of course, after last night, it’s probably a moot point. It’s warming up for the rest of the week and next week.

I hope y’all are spared from the miserable cold associated with the big blizzard that the east is supposed to have soon! Brr!
