Congressional Democrats will hold a series of “teach-ins” to celebrate the Martin Luther King holiday, hoping to rally Americans against the GOP’s tax bill as they seek to regain their legislative footing.
After ending 2017 on defense, watching from the sidelines as the GOP approved a landmark tax code overhaul and repealed a major portion of Obamacare, Democrats are vowing to try to push their agenda in 2018.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who is slated to meet with top White House officials Wednesday, said she’ll pursue a series of “long-overdue, bipartisan priorities” for more spending, including the opioid epidemic, a bailout for some private pensions, additional disaster relief and government-run health programs.
Mrs. Pelosi also said Democrats still want to pass the Dream Act to grant citizenship rights to illegal immigrant “Dreamers.” That effort stalled late last year, causing Democrats to miss their self-imposed December deadline for action.

The Democrats don’t believe in Rev. Martin Luther King or his message. That’s why they killed him.
We need to have our own information blitzkrieg.
They need to know Abe Lincoln was a Republican.
They need to know the Abolitionists became the Republicans.
They need to know the Republicans freed the slaves....from the RATs.
They need to know the slavers were RATs.
They need to know the segregationists were RATs.
They need to know Jim Crow Laws came from the RATs.
They need to know the RATs destroyed their family structure and self image reducing them to criminals, and wards of the state.
They need to know the RATs presume their vote, and do absolutely nothing good for them.
Piglosi and Obama just blew $9 Trillion dollars in deficit spending in only eight years.
How much of that landed in the pockets and bank accounts of democrat politicians and muslim terrorists?
The amount must be YUGE because very little got spent on the nations infrastructure as promised.
Now Piglosi wants Trump to spend more money we don't have to do the programs and projects for which Obama got the money but somehow the programs and projects never got done.
And they covered it up and did nothing because of politics. Anyone else would have been stripped of the degree and publicly humiliated or prosecuted for fraud. The man was a total fraud in every aspect of his life. where was Walter Conkite on that And they name a national day off for federal employees after him and scratch Washington’s birthday. Something is badly wrong with that.
What a great campaign slogan for the Dems:
“Vote for the Democrats. We want you to pay MORE taxes”.
The Fbi had hundreds of files and legal wire taps on this fraud. They were and still are prohibited from releasing those files. It is a travesty to live this lie.
Ronald Reagan’s worst moment was when he did nothing after our Marines were killed in Lebanon. His second worst moment was when he signed the MLK day bill knowing he was a communist plagiarizing fraud who was directed from China. Reagan also knew he was a serial adulterer. Total shame he signed that bill.
Here’s an idea: they could donate what they wished to charity.
For the modern thing that walks around calling itself liberalism, that is pretty much the case. It’s the “have nots” trying to sulk and mope the “haves” into a guilt trip, rather than pointing out what they’ve got to offer that is worth the help.
But it’s not really liberal, and I don’t know why we let it get away with that lying language by perpetuating it. Any more than homosexuals deserve to be called gay.
I think MLK flirted with communism because Christianity was turning in a flaccid performance. It, like the general rise of secular liberalism, was a matter of filling a vacuum with a bad substitute.
Liberal politician: “I see you have some money there. Give it to me.”
I’m not bragging for him, I agree he was scummy. It’s ironic Democrats are going to use his day to bash Republicans.
