Four young men were stabbed to death at the turn of the year in London bringing the total number of fatal knife attacks in the capital to 80 in 2017 alone.
The killings three on New Years Eve and a fourth on New Years Day were all unrelated and occurred within a 15-hour period at locations in north, east and south London.
The three deaths on Sunday bring the total number of fatal stabbings in the capital in 2017 to 80, Scotland Yard confirmed. The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who has struggled to control knife crime during his term so far, said he will work tirelessly in 2018 and beyond to stamp out this scourge.
Figures revealed in the Guardian as part of the Beyond the Blade reporting revealed that 2017 was already the worst year for deaths of children and teenagers in England and Wales since 2009. As at the end of November, 35 people aged 19 or under in England and Wales had been stabbed to death. It was last higher in 2008 when 42 young people died as a result of an attack with a knife. Two of the victims of the most recent deaths were 18 and 17, while the other two men were both 20.

4 stabbing deaths is horrible - are they all ROP?
Nobody NEEDS a knife. < /s >
I read that murder rate was higher in UK when compared with US. The reason UK rates are usually shown to be lower is that if a murder is not solved, it is not classified as a murder but as a death. If murders are called murders even if not solved, then UK murder rate is slightly higher than US.
No mattter how bad or old the lies are some wish to believe in the fairy tale harassment bs. We saw it with the Roy Moore attack proven forgery. I think it has to do with our poor public education system.
The knife laws are ridiculous and arbitrary. If one is going fishing or hunting, possession of a hunting knife is legal but any other time one is criminal. How can they tell which is which? A flip knife is illegal to carry. Personal defense is almost a crime there.
Legislating objects is so much easier than actually dealing with criminals. Because criminals have all those wonderful “human rights”, dont’cha know...
Not to mention a vast variety and selection of "tools" to commit their crimes with. Outlawing guns, knives, rope, baseball bats, plastic bags, etc., where do they draw the line?
The “tools” don’t kill people by themselves, better to legislate the people using the tools.
We don’t need no thought control; no dark sarcasm in the classroom. Teacher, leave those kids alone!
It’s so simple, all they need to do is pass a law outlawing the use of human hands in any way to facilitate commission of a crime. It’s rather difficult to shoot, knife or otherwise attack a person without using hands. This would result in an immediate drop to nearly zero attacks, after all people do obey the law don’t they? Oh, wait, never mind.
Still sounds like London is safer than a city in the United States.
London now more dangerous than New York City, crime stats suggest
Well. That is good to know.
work tirelessly in 2018 and beyond to stamp out this scourge.
Should i take it they plan on curtailing muslim immigration?
I can't imagine where that came from. In the most recent years for which full statistics are available, the UK rate was 0.92 per 100,000; in the US it was 4.88 per 100,000. That's over five times as many. You can't explain such a gulf by different classification standards. As it happens the only murders in the UK not so classified is the small number where there is enough doubt over the cause of death to prevent charges being brought. Unsolved murders where the cause of death is beyond doubt and intentional are classed as murders.
Names not yet released, but unlikely. Most stabbings are gang-related, and the inner-city street gangs in London and elsewhere in the UK are dominated by Afro-Carribeans and white underclass rather than Muslims.
Don’t ban knives. Ban the savages who use them to attack and kill.
Yep, my point exactly. Even more to the point, governments all over the West are failing their peoples by taking the “easy way out” of crime. They can point to their stupid little laws saying, look we did something to address the problem, when in reality they haven’t (they only inconvenience the non-criminal portion of the population). Ropes, lamp posts/trees...just add politicians!
