It sounds like a tragic misdiagnosis and I am so sorry about your friend. I agree; there are many docs who just don’t seem to want to do their job thoroughly enough, and it is one of the worst things that can happen when a life is lost due to medical indifference or sloppiness.

That said, probably 99.5% of colonoscopies are done properly and do save lives, which was my concern in posting about it. I understand your experience has made you fearful, but if you have any family history or environmental reasons to believe there is a risk, I do urge you to carefully search for a highly recommended GI doc who will care for you properly. People do also die of colon cancers that are invisible or undetectable by ordinary senses or ignored too long until they become Stage 4 and penetrate the bowel wall.

Incredible. They are giving them 2 weeks to respond to 8 questions? They have a whole committee to respond to something they have been investigating for months & it takes 2 weeks?

I get at least 20 e-mails a day that require same-day response. In addition to my regular work. And I have no staff.

I wonder if Trump gives his contractors 2 weeks to respond to a worksite question.
