Ten people have been killed overnight in anti-government protests sweeping Iran, according to state TV.
"In the events of last night, unfortunately a total of about 10 people were killed in several cities," it said. At least 12 people have now died since protests began on Thursday

General rule of thumb, a totalitarian regime will report no more than 1/10 the people they murder.
If they report 2 fatalities, there are at least 20.
Yes, thank you.
Those security people were getting absolutely swarmed by protesters and shut down. There was return fire too. Someone is helping the protesters.
Probably 10,000.
The BBC and other western media shills seem to always give headlines that make it appear that those protesting somehow caused the deaths, when it is the protestors being killed by government thugs. Similar to headlines citing Palestinians killed in conflict with Israel, without explaining that the Palestinians killed were engaged in armed insurrection.
I am wondering what the role of the UN is in this. Who is it up to to step up and intervene?
I think I'm gonna go make some blackeyed peas and cornbread and keep an eye on the news...
I was thinking the same thing. That’s why they said “about 10.” Five Hundred is “about 10.”
the mullahs needed the $1.2 billion in hard currency cash Obama sent them to pay their thugs and enforcers. Uh oh that cash is now gone and the thugs only work for hard currency. Right about now those goons, like goons everywhere when the money gets scarce, are wondering if they should hedge their bets. Bad news for the mullahs if they do.
who can intervene
How about Jimmah Carter? He did such a bang up job the last time. I guess it all comes down to where the Iranian military leaderships allegiance falls.
The only place to keep up with what’s going on is twitter.
Is the MSM holding strong in their support for the Mullahs?
The GCC, Gulf Cooperation Council. You probably won’t read about them in the legacy media. They’re like a NATO for reforming the middle east, seems to be in conjunction with Trump’s challenge to the gulf states in his trip over there.
Best to follow it on twitter, people like @ThomasWictor.

This is why we have the Bill of Rights.
There’s video on twitter where the crowd swarmed government security and took one officer’s pants off. And many unmarked planes left Iran already. Looks like the revolution is already at least half over.
Any reports of dead from Mashhad?
Judy, the UN isn’t doing crap. They are like a diplodocus vs velociraptor. Diplodocus needs to float in water to move, and moves VERY SLOW. Absolutely useless.
