SOMEONE, with tons of money invested in this debacle (saving 14 minutes) did not want to LOSE. The train was behind schedule before even leaving the station, and if it had followed the posted speeds, would not make it to the end in a ‘quicker’ time that the old route.
SOMEONE told the engineers they better find a way to get there ‘on time’, OR ELSE.
That is why we are not being told the truth. They can’t admit it and I bet the engineers have been instructed to keep their mouths shut, OR ELSE.
But the exact time frame was never specified, just "right before". FWIW, I want specifics.
