The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) in Colorado says "multiple deputies are down" and a code red alert has been issued amid an "active" situation south of Denver.
The DCSO says citizens should avoid the area, while residents should shelter in place and avoid windows and exterior walls.

Wow....sounds like you’re celebrating already..
I’m 2 miles from the scene and know several of the Deputies.
Domestic call, shots fired, 3 patients admitted, non-critical injuries.
Live Report 9news just now.
What a crappy idea.
Thanks. I hope those you know are safe.
Nope, this feels like the ex-?army ranger latino guy who catastrophized Memorial Dr. in Houston on Memorial Day two years ago. Probably a marksman.
I guess that's an easy stall - any home action is "domestic" ....and so are a lot of illegal maids and other "servants"......
Prayers for the officers and their families.
I’m concerned about an ambush. If you want to draw a lot of LEOs to a scene, call in a domestic.
New Years Weekend. Probably more likely a combo of long-simmering family squabble and cheap booze.
9news live update:
In addition to 3 non-critical admitted to SkyRidge Hosp.
4 admitted to Littleton Adventist Hosp.
Have you got a link to the scanner?
“Or maybe just a regular angry guy dishing out a little payback for all the unarmed, innocent Americans that cops have been murdering lately.”
Wow. You are truly an independent thinker.
That was a droll joke about all the silly ideas guessing what’s going on.
Are you with Black Lives Matter?
I use Broadcastify. Go to CO and select Douglas, Arapahoe traffic. FWIW, I think at least one feed has been looped, because I’d heard the audio before...
I suppose - but how many LEOs generally respond to a actual “domestic” call? From cop shows and other “experiences, usually an initial cruiser with 2 cops and one or two backups if it looks like it is/might be getting out of hand.
Thx much.
Doesn’t take a domestic call these days. Seems like every cop on duty shows up for a shoplifting call.
A lot of cops respond. Domestics are one of the most dangerous calls of all.
Domestic disturbance call at 6AM involving gunfire reported, that’s why there were a lot of deputies.
Shooter at large as of a few minutes ago.
In my neck of the woods, if there’s manpower available, domestics draw multiple LEOs. And a lot of calls that didn’t use to, do now. That’s one of the few uses of taxpayer money I wholeheartedly support.
