FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; Reps. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., Debbie Dingell, D-Md., Will Hurd, R-Texas and Mark Meadows, R-N.C.

STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Anthony Scaramucci, former White House communications director.
Absolutely true. He greased the skids for removal of the Shah using the rationale of his human rights policy. Vance convinced the Shah not to use Savak (the secret police) against his political enemies.
The Shah was corrupt, but he was a vital ally. We had over 1,000 Americans assigned to our Embassy and consulates as well as critical listening stations along the Caspian monitoring the Soviet Union's nuclear and missile programs. And we had a huge number of American businesses in Iran. In 1978 there were over 70,000 Americans in Tehran alone.
In Tehran you could buy Playboy on the newsstand. Women dressed in Western garb with very few wearing a shador. There were more women in the Iranian Parliament than there were in the US Congress. Israel had a trade mission in Tehran.
There were 50,000 Iranians studying in the US, the largest contingent of foreign students in the US. It was many of the students wearing paper bags over their heads that demonstrated in front of the WH against the Shah and help convince Carter that he should ease out the Shah in the name of human rights. It was a disastrous decision that gave us Khomeini and the biggest state sponsor of terrorism. And thanks to Obama, a future nuclear power.
I can recall vividly in 1977 on New Years Eve in Tehran when Carter visited Iran. There was an entourage of over 900 people counting the reporters including Barbara Walters. The Shah picked up the tab for everything. A year later the Shah was gone thanks to Carter.
You would think that Fox could find one Trump supporter to explain why he was elected rather than Dana and her band of haters.
Who are the greens ? They were reported to be absent at the beginning of this revolt. Are they good guys, or bad ?
Dana and Rove are a pretty good explanation why the Bush administration was a failure.
Happy New Year FRiend.
Tight lines , calm seas and more MAGA in 2018
Happy New Year and thanks for keeping us motivated over the years
You will never guess who just arrived.
Diane Feinstein! She bought treats for dogs!
She was late and never made it to mass.
Obama admin Re terror , oppressive rulers... hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil...
PeRino and chalk board man key reasons we got Obama, unlike Trump no fight back in them.
The high point of my Sunday exploration is your editorial/commentary. It is usually saved and printed, and passed around for others to partake of.
Happy New Year, and thank you so much for what you do.
Of course the lie here—or illogic assumption—is that you could ONLY conduct a deal with the Islamic/Anti-USA government of Iran.
While allowing the revolution, indeed, promoting and helping it succeed, would not give an even bigger payoff deal with a more moderate, pro-USA government?
WTF, over?
I have to agree and disagree.
Yes, the Sunday shows are nothing but Communist propaganda - The somewhat limited exception was Fox this morning - Mike Needham - only same person on this Show. Marie Harf was there as well as that Commy Mo something or other.
Now, the real reason this thread and FR in general are loosing "SANE" commenters is due to the extremely large quantity of insane posts like the ones yesterday on the Senator Cruz.
You can like the Senator as I do or you can hate the senator
Ted Cruz Is (Still) Running for President 12/29/2017, 8:56:04 PM · 65 of 92 Lurkinanloomin to DanZ All of those are even worse Senators. Cruz would be a better one if he gave up his ambition for President, he cant be that.
So Lurkinanloomin, whom I consider a sane poster puts out that TO HAVE AMBITION for a Senator is NOT OK. - This is mental derangement. And there are many much worse on the Subject of Senator Cruz. Others are just as bad on any number of different topics
Great summary of the past, never saw or heard about that before. Another consequence of electing a no experience President.
Okay, the Bush/Rove administration was in retrospect a loser.
Not to spoil anybody’s appetite, but....
What would we be dealing with now if Gore had “won”?
Lindsey Graham is the good Lindsay today.
"I support the President....I called him every name in the book...I ran out of adjectives....he beat me like a drum....I want to help him."
LOL
Must read thread for me every Sunday morning. Regardless of number of comments always learn something new and revealing vs the drivel of MSM and decline in Fox News being at least a perception of fair and balanced
Exclude Lou Dobson and a few commentators in that , but see little difference in most panels especially those with Juan, Harf, chalkboard man, PeRino, Chris Stirewalt
Yes, Kondratievs Economic Cycles DO NOT predict election winners.
But Strouss/Howe that, is a different story.
I do believe in Cycles. As one example I would offer weather. In the mid to late 1970's, I lived in New England and we had a few years of very cold and snowy winters, that type of weather pattern has come back over the past few years.
No you cannot have identical reproduction of cycles for various reasons, technology being one.
Now that would be interesting. Wonder if we would have had VP Hillary as next in line...
True feeling. Shudders at the ineptitude of Alshow me the money Gore
You seem uninformed about what really drives the markets. The markets move either up or down on corporate earnings. End of statement!
Earnings of course can be impacted by events worldwide or even to an extent local depending on the company. If people are buying stuff then companies do well their earnings increase people see this and buy the stock making the stock market go up. When people see bad things happening locally or around the world they become frightened and they pull back on their spending. This causes corporations to sell less of their products, whether it be hard products or services. The result is earnings sink which causes the stock to sell off.
Trying to look in the past to determine what will happen in the future is just about the most ignorant way anyone could ever find to choose a plan of investment.
