I don't blame Bannon for Moore's loss, but Moore's loss surely makes me question Bannon's political sensibilities.

The one disastrous angle to Moore's candidacy was his insistence that he wouldn't support Mitch McConnell as Senate Majority Leader. That would be a fine approach if there was a contested race among two or more U.S. Senators vying for that post, but the only opposition to McConnell in that role comes from outside the U.S. Senate (from people like Bannon, for example). There is no movement among any Republican Senators to replace McConnell as the majority leader.

So who exactly was Roy Moore going to support for that post? Chuck Schumer?
