I don’t know about the Shah, but a Constitutional Republic would be an improvement. Give the decent folks there a shot at something better in life than having to bang their heads against the pavement five times a day.
And covertly give them arms and ammunition to make it happen for themselves.

I was a baby when JFK got killed. But those words are immortal. JFK had his faults... but in spite of them, I think he was an American through and through (unlike his brother the Swimmer).
We had that mentality as a Country once; we should remember who we are.
If this is a shot at helping take down a major terrorism supporter and delivering a bitch-slap at the islamic supremacists, we should be helping foster it.

....been a whole lot of Neo-Con bluster going on today here at FR. What would the typical FR reaction be if they found out that, say, the Chinese were shipping weapons into U.S. “inner cities” for gangs to use against other citizens and the police? Might that be an act of war? ....a more disturbing question...how many “Freepers” would care?
