If the STATE DEPT. is involved, that would go a long ways towards explaining the endless foot-dragging at Foggy Bottom.   /sarc

.

...one detail that seems to be missing and/or under reported........ Who put the FIRST dollar into the creation of the “dossier?” How does the mea culpa from the Washington Free Bacon fit into this timeline? Is the root of this toothache a cracked Kristol?

Reply by Liz: Plenty of suspects, to be sure....but IF we, the people, ever find out Hillary dipped into State Dept tax dollar/slush funds to finance the dossier......there's gonna be hell to pay.

Just putting this out there.

In regards to the FISA court. From what I understand the FISA is highly secretive but according to the internet machine:

Eleven federal district judges serve on a rotating basis, usually for one week at a time. All judges have a maximum term of seven years with the FISA court. And only one person has the power to appoint the judges: Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts.

So is it possible to ‘judge shop’? Wait until a more favorable judge is rotated up for the week? The first FISA request was turned down. The second approved. Wouldn’t Sheldon Snook (the husband of Mary McCord and former spokesperson for the FISA court and who currently works for John Roberts) know the judges?
