You actually think so little of President Trumps intelligence and business experience that you think he will be tricked by a bunch of half-wit Democrats?

Seesh.

Trump saved us, and our country from Hillary. For that I am eternally grateful. Having said that, he was hard over on giving the illegals the boot during the campaign, and that Mexico would pay for the wall...

Now, he is getting wobbly on the deportation issue, and wants congress to fund the wall.

Caving on the wall I can understand, but if he succumbs to amnesty for the Dreamers, he will lose his base. JMHO

The way I see it, the DACA issue is very similar to some of the noxious provisions of the recent tax bill involving the limited deductibility of state and local taxes. The members of Congress -- Democrat and Republican alike -- who are opposed to Trump on these issues are mostly clustered in "blue" states where Trump lost badly anyway.

Take a look at some of the research where illegal immigrant populations are found, and you'll see that most of the Rust Belt and Midwest states that propelled Trump to his unexpected victory generally have very few of them.

I think a hard line on DACA by President Trump will play very well politically in states where it matters a lot.
