The chief executive of a UK-based Bitcoin exchange called EXMO has reportedly been kidnapped in Ukraine.
Pavel Lerner, 40, was kidnapped while leaving his office in Kiev's Obolon district on December 26.
Local media reported that he had been pulled into a black Mercedes-Benz by a group of men wearing balaclavas.
"We are doing everything possible to speed up the search of Pavel Lerner," a spokesman told the Telegraph.
"Any information regarding his whereabouts is very much appreciated...Despite the situation, the exchange is working as usual. We also want to stress that nature of Pavels job at EXMO doesnt assume access either to storages or any personal data of users. All users funds are absolutely safe.
EXMO is based in Polegate, Sussex, but according to its website it has workers in Spain, Russia, India and Thailand together with "financial advisers" from the UK, USA, Lithuania and Singapore.

Remember Russia and China wants the dollar to become useless Bitcoin is private way of helping along with the chimps who buy them.
There was a time when private banks in this country issued their own currency true and in the south they minted their own silver coins during the depression.
"For men who set their hearts on being wealthy expose themselves to temptation. They fall into one of the worlds traps, and lay themselves open to all sorts of silly and wicked desires, which are quite capable of utterly ruining and destroying their souls. For loving money leads to all kinds of evil, and some men in the struggle to be rich have lost their faith and caused themselves untold agonies of mind." 1 Timothy 6:9-10 J.B. Phillips
In before the ‘blame Putin’ crowd...
That looks like Chaz Bono.
My, my, my. What’s this guy doing in Ukraine? Would it be unfair to suggest a hypothsis that it might involve illegal transactions?
I will say that though we can call it ‘invented money’ how is bitcoin different? Our own currency is backed by nothing and created electronically on federal reserve computer systems and constantly inflated, I see some big advantages to these new currencies mainly because they are decentralized.
China banned bitcoin. These currencies are a threat to the existence of the crony system that rules us.
That is exactly who the supposed kidnapped person looks like!! Chaz/Chasity
But they still want to kill the dollar to keep their crony system alive.
