Looking for Mueller’s red meat main course
Washington Times ^ | Dec 28, 2017 | Wesley Pruden

The conspiracy theorists are hungry, and Robert Mueller owes them dinner. His pantry is apparently barren of groceries, and he has spent nearly $7 million of the grocery money. So far he has only served up a cheese plate. We deserve a little red meat soon.

Ham, ram, lamb, bull, beef or bear, just something raw and red. Indicting Paul Manafort satisfied growling tummies for a brief season. So why not indict him again? But you have to wonder what all those K Street lawyers are doing with their time at $500 an hour.

Mr. Mueller, whose neck is getting warm from the hot breath of impatient skeptics, is expected to repeat a few indictments soon, “brought back by popular demand,” intended to “grind down” Mr. Manafort and one or two others indicted earlier. Everyone expected the heavy artillery that Mr. Mueller is said to be a master of, and so far his regiment of sharpshooters has marched up to the creek to attack only a few muddy beer bottles with BB guns.

A “superseding indictment” would replace the original indictment against Mr. Manafort, for money laundering, making false statements and other things related to his lobbying business. But nothing, so far as anyone can tell, connected to Russians and the 2016 election.

Jonathan Turley, who manufactures lawyers at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, is one of the beagles who expects some of these “superseding indictments” soon.

“There was much in the narrative of the indictment that referenced crimes not charged,” Prof. Turley tells the Daily Beast, an Internet news website. “Prosecutors will often issue a superseding indictment as the grand jury continues its work. There’s also a tactical reason for this, that superseding indictments tend to grind defendants a bit more over time.”

He makes a good point. If Mueller is making people like us think it's a big waste of time and money sick of him, imagine what it's doing to the people who thought Trump would be indicted and out of office by now? I know the Dem leadership is using this as an excuse to run out the clock but the regular supporters who expected Hillary to be POTUS must be losing more faith in their leadership by the day. When they lose faith they stay home on election day.

Absolutely right.
Here’s praying and hoping that the RATS become totally disillusioned, discouraged and do in fact stay home next November.
Just think how awesome the melt of the LSM will be when President Trump governs with a Super Majority, filled with more members inclined to advance his MAGA agenda.

I, for one, am furious at the waste of taxpayer money which could be used for so many better purposes, and the waste of Trump’s time when he could be solving more problems of state. I’d like to haul off and bop Mueller and the rest of his gang of scum sucking bottom feeders myself, for this dual waste!

...K Street lawyers... ...at $500 an hour...

I believe their going rate is double that so those K Street lawyers must be offering a Hate-Trump Discount.

Yup - $1k/hour+ for those kinds of lawyers is fairly common.

The Rats "Get Trump!" plan is going to be the biggest boomerang in American political history.

Priestap is singing like a canary, and they are all going down.

Mueller’s main course will be pork. He will stick and apple into Hitlery’s mouth and serve her up.
