House Intelligence Committee Chairman, and Gang of Eight member, Devin Nunes, has delivered an ultimatum to Asst. AG Rod Rosenstein; demanding the DOJ deliver the documents and evidence surrounding the Steele Dossier to the committee by January 3rd.
Theres an unspoken coordination here which needs to be highlighted. Intelligence Chairman Nunes appears focused specifically on the Dossier, which is to say the DOJ side of the collusion. Judicial Chairman Goodlatte is focused the FBI side.
Nunes demand comes as DAG Rosenstein has already committed to deliver 1.2 million pages of evidence from the year-long DOJ Inspector General investigation to the House Judiciary Chairman, Bob Goodlatte, on/around January 15th. More than likely the FBI/DOJ requested information is also contained within the upcoming OIG material.
WASHINGTON DC House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes is blasting the Department of Justice and the FBI for its failure to fully produce documents related to an anti-Trump dossier, saying at this point it seems the DOJ and FBI need to be investigating themselves.
In a Thursday letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein obtained by Fox News, Nunes expressed frustration that information and witnesses subpoenaed by the committee in August related to the so-called Steele dossier had not yet been turned over. The salacious dossier includes unverified allegations about President Trumps connections with Russia that he has denied.

Or else...WHAT? Nunes should have House police arrest Rosenstein, and Trump should allow it.

Yes! Law and Order for all, uniformly. No more special treatment! I guess we’ll soon find out if it’s all talk or not.
Or nunez will taunt them a second time? I could see it if Nobama were still scoffing at the law, but why are demands and deadlines needed now?
And finally, is there anything more impotent than a congressional investigative committee?
In the grand tradition of Issa and Gowdy, and now Sessions—don’t make anyone mad, boys.
And what will be the next “Deadline”. Bring out your Dogs and Ponies!
The DOJ and FBI have been withholding documents to cover up their malfeasance
The FBI and DOJ know what they have but they do not know all of what the IG has or has not yet discovered
If the IG releases their documents first, then the DOJ and FBI will know what the IG has uncovered and if the IG does to have it , the DOJ and FBI can continue to hide any undiscovered documents not already in the IG’s possession
If Nunes and Goodlatte force the DOJ and FBI to release their records before the IG, then the DOJ and FBI will be forced to release anything they have because if they don't produce it and the IG has it , it's obstruction of justice time for the people responsible.
The FBI and DOJ will also be at risk of charges of coverup and obstruction if they over redact the released documents to conceal or obstruct (like they have been doing in the past) and the IG releases clean, unreacted versions of those documents.
This is about to get very interesting
Mines had better be prepared for Rosenstein to call his bluff.
Nunes...
I have a hard time getting around my brain that sessions is the head of the justice department and the hold overs in our government are able to run circles around him... he is powerless in the face of opposition. sessions is as weak a person in the place he was appointed to, as any I’ve ever seen.
Bongino on Hannity tonight speaks about how I feel about all this.. and the democrat on, isn’t upset... of course he isn’t.. just let it play out.. if it had been obama he wouldn’t let it play out... This is a nest of criminals running things and “let it play out?” There are no words!
I heard 2 say tonight that we are angry out here... very angry. .. at the media .. at mueller.. at all that is going on .. the attacks against the President... and we will vote. that is correct! we are not taking this like they evidently think we are taking it... we are not turning against Trump.. we are taking names...
To see what is going on and to see congress not be upset about it... except for a few repubs.. Nunez is one.. he’s going after them.. it’s about time. Gowdy is way too laid back and too trusting of his “friends” in congress letting this go on and on.. too long.. they should have done something months ago... it took individuals not in congress to uncover all this.. for congress would have let it go.. no skin off their backs..
excellent description - like legal liability ‘rock paper scissors’.... :)
Stop giving them more time. It only shows a sign of weakness. $hit or get off the pot.
Am I the only one that believes that Nunes will never get the whole truth. Somethings are worth using bleechbit.
This withholding of evidence and reassignment of witnesses is clearly over the line and into criminal behavior.
Forget the Contempt of Congress pablum--untilize the power of the Capitol Police Force and physically remove the required material from the office buildings involved.
The documents are the property of the American people--they do not belong to the miscreants who are sitting on them.
Mr. Nunes, GO GET THOSE DOCUMENTS!
Nunez, Goodlatte, Gaetz, Jordan and Grassley are the good ones. Richard Burr is totally worthless.
Burr is an obese corruptacrat!

Thanks for posting.
Too much late night fooling around for me last night.
Thanks for posting this to everyone to help America back again!
How many deadlines has he given them already?
Nunes will author a very, very strongly worded Facebook post, and will use CAPITAL LETTERS to express his outrage that the DOJ and FBI are in cover-up mode.
The word is that Nunes is so angry, he will actually use this emoji in his Facebook rant:
