That’s a bit much. He has massive credibility and the prosecution was very tainted and politically driven, started because he hired a foreign nanny.
And that is long in the past, long finished, and he gains nothing now by lying about what he said today.
Go read about his background, and ask yourself how someone like him ends up with a nomination to a U.S. cabinet post. I've learned never to trust anyone who has spent most of his career working in government, and whose private sector experience consists entirely of working for foreign governments.
His prosecution was legitimate. I was remotely connected to someone who was caught up (innocently) in the New York and Federal investigations of his dealings while serving as NYC police commissioner, and he was precisely the kind of sh!tty, entitled crap you'd come to expect in crooked municipal politics.
