Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil suffered criticism from his fellow ministers over a television interview in which he was shown saying that Lebanon did not have an ideological problem with Israel and was not against it having security.
The comments were all the more unusual as they were made to the al-Mayadin television channel, a central Hezbollah mouthpiece.
A former government minister called on Bassil to resign and he was also sharply criticized in the Lebanese parliament..
Bassil's office later claimed that al-Mayadin had distorted his comments but could not explain how or what his real intention had been...

Allah’s gonna Akbar on this guy big time.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil suffered criticism from “moderate” Muslims......
He is Christian. Once upon a time, Lebanon was a prosperous, progressive Christian nation. Then they started letting in Muslim “refugees”. Now it is just another Middle Eastern backwater loaded with plural marriage Muslims who out number them and continue to out breed them.
I think there is a message there.
Beirut was “The Paris of the Middle East”, which made whatwashisname in Damascus at the time, jealous.
i thought they threw lebaneses off tall buildings?
The first thing that goes when Muslims takeover is garbage pickup!
I remember when Lebanon was predominantly Christian.
Now Paris is becoming the Beirut of Western Europe.
Exactly. Israel’s existence is a great emergency, just like the Trump presidency that must be urgently solved. According to msm, left, un, professors.
That’s also called a derangement syndrome.
Next thing you know, peace will be breaking out everywhere.
I think I smell Arkancide in the air around this guy.
Some of the 3rd world Parisian grit made its way into a French cop drama called "Spiral" (In English. Something like "Engreneges" in French) during a season or two. It even had a Mexican serial killer one season.
But they still have Ladybug and Black Cat for kiddies, which is all about emotions and lovy doviness and kissy kissy kissy stuff. Well, I suppose you can’t attract children to watch by having a super hero who puts down the “refugee” that just tried to drag you into the bushes on your way home from school. Too real.

Well, yeah, but they have a serious problem with Hizbollah and Iran.

Very little criticism from Hezbollah or Iranian newspapers (yet) Read this from IRIB:
It is quite neutral and they write:
Observers say that his remarks from the point of view of the position of the Foreign Minister of Lebanon are very dangerous for this position, but it shows the centrality of reality, which is full of slogans of confrontation with Israel. According to others, the words of the Lebanese Foreign Minister are contradictory to the legal reality, as emphasized by the Hezbollah movement.
What next?
Sounds mealy-mouthed. The fact that he’s still in office and hasn’t disappeared itself is evidence that he has a few cards of his own in play.
This https://twitter.com/Gebran_Bassil/status/946356242921984001 states “It is well known who is behind this campaign “ against him.
Well, who or what is this entity that is against him?
It's cute that to a lawless gang of murderers are construed as the legal reality. Our POTUS understands that to negotiate means to have a solid objective and understand where the other participants are soft.
