Bureaucracy: President Trump's reigning metaphor of "draining the swamp" is very descriptive. And yet, a new report suggests it may not go far enough. The government Swamp's a lot bigger and deeper than you know. The nonprofit watchdog group Open The Books has put out a new report, "Mapping The Swamp," that seeks to flesh out what has, until now, merely been a metaphor. What it found is eye-opening, and shows the size of the challenge that lies before President Trump as he seeks to drain it.

"An ocean .... not a swamp."

So let's give him some time to do what is near impossible.

Ocean doesn’t have the negative connotations that “swamp” does - which is how the term originated. I understand his point but what he really means is it’s an ocean sized swamp.

LOL. Cute distinction.

Do you get into numbers of meaningless, laborious semantics-laden discussions with your friends? I think so.

What you may want to understand is that more animals take a crap and excrete in other fashions in the ocean than you might concern yourself with. The ocean is filled with toxins in which you may want to swim.

"Swamp" ...... "Ocean"........ you explaining "what he really means" is OFF BASE and an unnecessary qualification.

There is a reason that the number of the Lying American Traitors opposing President Trump is so large.

The "Deep State Swamp" is very deep and very wide.

Remember the Grace Commission, tasked by Ronald Reagan to identify government waste.

They did. It was extensive and well done.

The report went to the same place Vince Foster went.

Now Trump is actually doing those things.

"The work force that the government directly employs costs just over $1 million per minute, or more than half a billion dollars a day."

...........

And that doesn't include the admittedly minuscule $$$$ spent to keep all the "sexually abused ladies and gentlemen" quiet and from spilling the beans on all the REAL PROSTITUTES in the Congress.

Wrong. I someone said “drain the swamp” in a political context I’d know exactly what they meant, even before Trump. If they said drain the ocean I wouldn’t know what they were talking about. That’s why the term was coined as it was.

From the article:

"It used to be people went into government to do good. Now, apparently, it's to do well."

_______________

Cute, simple, and wrong.......... unless they were talking about around two hundred years ago.

I don't know about you all, but the time when "people went into government to do good" for the most part was seemingly before my time when I began to seriously peruse politics (early 1960's).

Take a look at the percentage of increase in $$$$$$$$$ given by lobbyists to Congress critters over just the past twenty years. It's ugly.

Most are bought and paid for.... or worse.

Most of the critters are critters of the weasel sort now.......

Example:

I'm missing your point....... unless it's on the top of your head.

Here is the actual report Mapping the Swamp for those who want to read the report first hand rather than just reading what others have to say about it.

By the way..... the writer of this soft, relatively meaningless piece of near mush has no spine.

I posted the article because Donald Trump's challenge is huge......... much bigger than a dealing with a swamp.

The little person (here) who finds fault with the word "ocean" rather than "swamp" should be dismissed.

The essence of the article, as lame as it is, is that our President has his hands overly full ........ and any help from ANYONE would be welcome.

This man left a life of relative comfort to try to save this lovely country.

All of us/we who understand the situation at hand should step forward, and pass along words of his excellent accomplishments in the short period of time he has been in office, and pray that enough people in this country come to understand what IS TRUE about those accomplishments.

And..... please pray for his safety. He is a good man.

It was a typo. You really couldn’t figure out that was supposed to be ‘If” not “I”? Really? OK, now I know where your comments are coming from.
