Two professors from San Diego State University claim in a new book that farmers markets in urban areas are weed-like white spaces responsible for oppression.
Pascale Joassart-Marcelli and Fernando J Bosco are part of an anthology released this month titled Just Green Enough. The work, published by Routledge, claims there is a correlation between the whiteness of farmers markets and gentrification.
Farmers markets are often white spaces where the food consumption habits of white people are normalized, the SDSU professors write, the education watchdog Campus Reform reported Wednesday.

When did "spaces" become a thing?
That's koo koo talk.
Rural King had a box of 1000 9mm CCI/Speer (Blazer I think) for $179 & free shipping. But you snooze, you loose.
The one stall I frequent at my local farmers market are run by
a family of Hmong.
Excellent produce and reasonably priced.
A lot of the other stalls are so overpriced it’s just not worth shopping there.
Asians aren’t “protected minorities” and not the least bit of interest to these racist professors. Probably adjunct professors, not full. But they are collecting paychecks from the taxpayers of CA.
Down with farmers markets!
Up with Church’s Fried Chicken!
Oh, they are asking for it now. The White Liberals of West L.A. are NOT going to have their Farmer’s Markets derided... there’s gonna be a catfight now.
Yeah, you certainly wouldn’t want anything a white person does to be “normalized”. [eyeroll]
I think what’s really going on is the ongoing drumbeat to demonize white people and whiteness until it is completely obliterated. You see, they have absorbed the notion that Capitalism = White Culture. To get rid of capitalism, you have to eradicate white culture completely. So first they came for the Jews. Then they came for the Christians. Now they are going after each other, fellow White Liberals. It’s a race to be the last to go. You have to get further Left than anyone else. It’s the Hunger Games, in their heads.
My response:
Y = Yes;
N = No;
? = Huh, What's that, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, etc.

These Communists who want to manipulate my feelings can shove it up their whatever color arse!
The average leftist and minority activist whack is as loco as Timothy Treadwell was
Hey, @$$hole academics*, my white @$$ diet does not need normalizing!

Breathing while white male is racist
Thanks for the reasearch.
Fake News indeed about Fake “Research”.
One of these “professors” would be an ideal interview on Tucker Carlson next week! He could show them to be idiots, like the guy who is claiming the tamarisk trees along two fairways of a golf course in Palm Springs are racist because they separate a black residential neighborhood from the course.
Here’s what they’re talking about:
Farmers markets undermine leftists’ whines about “food deserts”. They are mostly white because the local blacks aren’t interested in food you have to actually prepare and cook. That’s why there aren’t many produce stores in ghetto areas. Cooking is work.
So’s watermelon but don’t go bringing one to a predominantly black gathering.

In the ‘60s-early ‘90s, a coworker in my dept. got a birthday celebration at work each year. His birthday was Juneteenth, the date that the abolition of slavery was announced in Texas.
Folks brought RC cola, moon pies and watermelon, instead of birthday cake.
btw... He was a white guy and the blacks in our dept. participated and had no problems. ...We’d all be fired today.
