Only minus 8 here but Im right on the shore of Lake Superior. This time of year we get the peculiar phenomenon of the big lake actually warming the cold. Most of the rest of the year its the other way around.

I guess that’s at least a little bit of positive for both winter and summer. -8, I am not so sure I could handle that so well in south Alabama.

I used to live in the middle of nowhere in the deep freezer of America near Embarrass MN where -36° is considered balmy sometimes. The unofficial low temperature there was −64 °F, which was reached in February 1996 in town.
