If he did it, that was completely unacceptable, but also probably unprovable. And, no, I don’t trust the “witness”, not in our current anti-Trump climate, but I also don’t assume a prominent man in politics wouldn’t have done that. If true, I would be perfectly happy if she had kicked him and raised his voice two octaves. However, I see no reason to take yet another he-says, she-says to court.

I'm not sure that characterizing it as "she was a heroine on Freerepublic" is quite correct, but either way, no men (or women) are perfect, and you should always watch what they do, not what they say. My guess is that conservatives are so used to Hollywood types crapping all over them and the country, that when they see someone show some sympathy towards conservative ideals, or heck, outright patriotism, they are overwhelmed.
