I just wanted to give a strong bit of praise for what I just saw on the Today Show - Kathy Lee Gifford singing a bold declaration of the Gospel with her song Jesus Is His Name. Tears to my eyes as she sung about Christ' birth and being Light in the darkness. The chorus boldly declaring the name of Jesus.
I hate all things NBC stands for and gets my blood boiling over the years with all the lies they spew. I'm thankful God has kept Kathy Lee there as a consistent witness for Christ. I cringe when the wife likes to watch the Today show for all the touchy-feely stuff - but I cannot deny when this woman unapologetically declares Christ as Lord to millions who may reject it from other places.
If anyone has a chance, try to find the video of the segment and enjoy. From 10:30-11:00 today.
(sorry if the posting category is not what some may want.)
Probably the first time this year that His name has been uttered over NBC without being pronounced “Hay-zoos”.
Good for her.
Good on her.
She should be careful, the liberal viewers may be offended.
Nice...
Watched local news in Miami. Not a single word about Christ’s birth. No video of a nativity, nothing....except when President Trump released video of a nativity and spoke the words from Isaiah about the Messiah “to us a Son is given....”
Pathetic that the media refuses to acknowledge Jesus.
I haven’t watched PBS in about 30 years, but noticed a string of Christmas concerts being shown today — most (or all) from colleges. All I’ve seen so far have been about 100% Christian content. Beautiful.
Well, actually, Kathy-Lee also sang another faith based song she co-wrote, “He Saw Jesus”, earlier this year. (I stumbled across it while looking for background on “Jesus Is His Name.”)
(It’s a very beautiful, moving song, and is about a lot more than “just” her husband’s passing... It also reminds me a lot about my feelings & thoughts immediately after my Dad’s passing.)
I have to hand it to this lady, for singing so movingly about her faith in what I’m sure is often not exactly a supportive environment.
OTOH, if these are her beliefs, how could she possibly defend a scum (whose scumminess was widely known) like Matt Lauer? Forgiveness is one thing, but to act like she did not have a clue... “Head in sand” syndrome?
This leaves me rather “conflicted”, because I really would like to fully fall into “like” with, and support for, her expressions of faith. :-(
Nice.
I do pray for a spiritual awakening in this nation. All of our economic gains will be for naught if we don’t repent.
