With most of the Western hemisphere on holiday, another crisis appears to be developing on the IndiaPakistan border known as the Line of Control (LoC). The incident started on Saturday, where at least four Indian soldiers were killed, in an exchange of fire with the Pakistani Army on the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Kashmir, ABC News reported.
The two sides reportedly exchanged heavy fire in the Keri sector of the Rajouri district, about 222 km southwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The skirmish started when Pakistani troops used automatic weapons, small arms, and mortars to attack Indian positions in Shahpur area of J&Ks Poonch district. The Indian army said Pakistani soldiers violated the 2003 cease-fire, calling the attack an unprovoked cease-fire violation.

Pakistan has a bad case of the Grumpies
Trump’s fault
Nuking Pakistan would not necessarily be a bad thing. So long as we don’t have to do it.

At least four Indian soldiers were killed Saturday in Pakistani firing along the highly militarized de facto border that divides the disputed region of Kashmir between the nuclear-armed rivals, Indian officials said.
Pakistani soldiers violated the 2003 cease-fire accord by targeting Indian posts in Rajouri sector, the Indian army said in a statement. It called the firing an "unprovoked cease-fire violation."
The statement said that the dead include an army officer and that Indian soldiers retaliated "strongly and effectively."
There was no immediate reaction from Pakistan.
Following the incident, heavy cross-border firing and shelling was reported at several places in the region.
Kashmir's director-general of police, S.P. Vaid, said the four soldiers died after they were attacked by a team of attackers who came from the Pakistani side of Kashmir.
In the past, the Indian army has blamed a combination of the Pakistani army's border action team and militants for carrying out operations along the Line of Control.
India and Pakistan have a long history of bitter relations over the Himalayan territory of Kashmir, which is claimed by both in its entirety. They have fought two of their three wars over the region since they gained independence from British colonial rule in 1947.
Both countries have previously accused the other of initiating past border skirmishes leading to the deaths of soldiers and civilians.
Last year, Indian and Pakistani soldiers engaged in some of the worst fighting along the Line of Control since the two countries agreed to the cease-fire accord.
Pakistani Internet Trolls are out saying Pakistan is going to nuke the US.
These guys are so angry, they must have taken a licking and they know it.
What could go wrong?
Perfect.
“Pakistan Opens Fire Along Border Killing Indian Troops, Warns “Nuclear War Cannot Be Ruled Out”
Well, there it is.
Between China and Pakistan, India is having exciting times on her borders these days.
China is threatening the corridor between India and her province east of Bangledesh. Pakistan is keeping the old conflicts in Jammu-Kashmir simmering in the northwest.
Does anyone know how relations between Pakistan and China stand?
I’m glad DJT, not BHO or HRC, is CIC.
Also glad that BJC isn’t CIC anymore.
Wait til Iran gets up to speed...
Last I heard, Pakistan and China were allies.
I’ve never understood why killing a Major is more noteworthy than a Private. Especially since I’ve known some majors.
[ Pakistan Opens Fire Along Border Killing Indian Troops, Warns “Nuclear War Cannot Be Ruled Out” ]
And on the other side of the coin, wars and rumors of war this Christmas Eve.
Absolutely. India nuking Pakistan into a glass parking lot would be a wonderful Christmas present for the whole world.
[Wait til Iran gets up to speed...]
No kidding. When that day comes, I expect Israel to be ready for swift action - if they haven’t taken action already just before then.
That being said, it’s a loooong way to get there and back. And getting subs into the Persian Gulf = well, that might be rather interesting. Even with a combination of air- and sea-based attacks, Ezekiel 38 is still gonna come to pass.
And it will be a very bad day for Iran and her allies.
The religion of peace strikes again.
Sounds like somebody is feeling a little jealous of fatboy’s attention...
