I’m willing to bet they never meddlesome any more than they did in 2012, 2008 or 2004.
There was an avid discussion of DNC hacking through the summer of 2016, ON NPR. I remember their reporting well. At the time, the reporting seemed to be well informed and unbiased. The cybersecurity experts, WERE DEFENDING Obama, who had made pronouncements as to the dubious fear, that the Russsians could somehow affect a US election.
One key detail, was that in the narly world of Cyber hacking, hackers, could, and often would, leave bread crumbs, that would implicate OTHER players, in order to cover their tracks. The Cyber security experts, asserted that REAL STATE SPONSORED RUSSIAN HACKERS, were just too good, to leave behind any traces of a breach that they had accomplished, so the implication was that others were doing the dirty work, for their own reasons.
The gist of the reporting, was that Obama was correct, and that wikileaks, Seth Richards, and others were not working with Russia, and that in any event, there was not threat to the Election, because team Obama, in charge of all US intelligence assets, made sure of it in real time.
