Some of this is restructuring. ATT will launch thier own “netflix” service. DirecTV isn’t making any money because of escalating fees and users leaving and the “communists” at Netflix stealing users. Comcast and Verizon are also in the works to create their own “netflix. But soon you may not be able to use Netflix without paying extra for it.
The Union can tell its members it’s just FUNemployment like we were cheered up with when zerp killed the middle class and called it the New Normal.
AT&T is now offering Direct TV for cellular customers. Now how far behind the times is that.
Take the most expensive satellite offering, with the worse fixed package selection and then tie it to the 3rd rated cellular offering.
What do you get? A monkey dressed in a tuxedo.
First I cut my AT&T wire line 10 years ago because they would not budge on my bill. I just moved my cellular phones (2-iphones) because of the same reason to T-mobile "Over 55, Free unlimited everything 2 lines" for $60 a month for BOTH phones and got a FREE pad. This is saving me $90 a month and I was paying for data after 3gb. AT&T would not budge on the 3gb and we were customers for over 20 years. Sometimes our bill was running over 200 bucks a month.
People thought the cable companies were just going to stand idly by as millions of former customers "cut the cord" and do nothing about it.
