I will keep at it. He has come very close and I could almost touch him, but truthfully, I’m afraid he might get spooked and take a whack at me with those sharp claws. LOL! I’m not giving up, though! :)
Just wait a little while yet before attempting to touch him. You want to gain his trust pretty well first. Just sitting there talking to him but doing nothing will let him understand you aren’t out to hurt him.
Once he’s comfortable, he’s less likely to swat at you. He’ll just run off a little ways but he’ll come back.
You can do it and I can’t wait to hear you have a new best buddy. :-)
