I loved the Original Battlestar Galactica, but I stopped watching the newer Battlestar Estrogenica after about the 6th or 7th episode.
Occasionally they show old Battlestar Galactica marathons on TV, and you realize how PC it was even back then. I was too young to notice; now it leaps out.
I grew up watching the old one. I watched the first episode of the new one because I do like Katy Sackoff from Longmire but they forgot to add space scenes to the space show. Found it to be very boring. Two whole space scenes and those were just white dots with trails going across a black background. Something I could have done on my PC.
My son likes sci-fi so I thought this would be something we could watch together.
We watch(ed) stuff like Arrow, The Flash, Scorpion etc but they’re good for a couple of seasons and then they bring out the gays and the SJW subject matter, rich white guys are evil etc etc and ruin things.
The key to the BG remake is, you have to understand its simply a Soap Opera set in space..... All the writers did every week, after the initial story was setup, was to try to shock and awe the audience, no matter how ridiculous the shock they wrote was...
If you watched an episode from the first season and then watched an episode from the last season you would not even recognize them as the same show.
It was basically a dynasty/soap opera set in space. Terrible, by far one of the worst science fiction series made.. Production values were not bad, but as a story, it was drivel.
Did not help that the background music was a pounding drum going boom boom boom. None of the characters were good guys.
