No. Barnum’s, or your, numbers are incorrect. The father and son are 29 years apart. When the dad is 40, the son will be 11, 60 and 31, etc...
Curious and not optimistic about where they go with the bearded lady.
I didn’t say they weren’t. I said the father was 30 *times* the son’s age at the start. It’s the ratio that is key; the ages are rounded for the sake of the story.
What is Shape of Water about?
From the descriptions and reviews, it sounds like a high quality Science Fiction movie.
From master storyteller Guillermo del Toro comes THE SHAPE OF WATER, an otherworldly fable set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa's life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.
To which I'll add: she finds an amphibious being being held in captivity, and makes plans to free him. Probably a love story but I haven't got that doped out yet. 94% on the tomato meter.
Thanks
