Riyad al-Malki, the Palestinian Authority (PA) official in charge of foreign affairs, on Wednesday accused Washington of "threatening" member countries of the UN General Assembly ahead of a vote on rejecting President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Malki said, according to the AFP news agency, that American officials were "committing another mistake when they have distributed this famous letter trying to threaten countries, (and) threaten their sovereign decision to choose how to vote."
He was speaking at a press conference with Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu in Istanbul, shortly before both men left for New York.
The UN General Assembly will hold an emergency session on Thursday to vote on a proposed measure rejecting the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem, after the U.S. vetoed a similar resolution at the Security Council.

Lemme get this straight - no country has sovereignty over their own borders, according to the head of the UN - what they do have, and all they have, is sovereignty over their UN vote. Got it.

This is too funny. They act like they have a right to US foreign aid, no matter what they do, but there is a new sheriff in town and he doesn’t play that crap. lol.
These assholes don’t get it. We are a sovereign country. We can “recognize” anything we want. If they don’t likely, tough-titty. Furthermore, Trump should tell these third world dictators he is reducing US funding to $1.00 a year and they should get leave the building by noon tomorrow when the building will be rigged for demolition.
The threat is taking away their allowance. They think they have a right to our money.

Shouldn't be based on the Jerusalem resolution, but the US should certainly be considering things like UN voting record in the nature of our relations, and distribution of aid. We should also review the effectiveness of our aid, since most countries receiving development aid, over the long term don't seem to develop.
