It took Abigail Bautista less than a month of living in Langley Park to learn that her new neighborhood in Maryland had its own set of laws, written not in statutes but in gang graffiti and blood.
The Guatemalan mother of five was pushing a cart of merchandise along University Boulevard one winter morning in late 2012 when three young men approached.
“Do you know who we are?” one asked her in Spanish.
Bautista shook her head.
“We are La Mara Salvatrucha,” he said. “And here, there are rules.”

Langley Park used to be a heavily black area, with some who would have shot these MS 13 monsters. Did the blacks move out?
Many of the beltway blacks have headed back to The South and outer DC burbs.
I am 62 now, but I was a kid in the Takoma Park area. It wasn’t the greatest THEN, but this makes me truly sad for my old stomping grounds. My mom wasn’t afraid to let me go there on my bike alone (we lived on Flower Avenue and Piney Branch Road, for those who know the area). We left in 1969, but I have fond childhood memories.
Decades ago many people like me in the southwest warned others in distant states what was coming their way. Few listened or paid any attention.
At least they are easily identifiable with those face tattoos, if in some dystopian future open fighting breaks out to restore America.

I'd like to know the immigration status of all parties involved.
I'm in California. I remember warning Freepers in other states, only to be told, "Serves you fruits and nuts in California right. Won't happen here in my state. We have guns here." (What, they were planning to shoot illegals on the streets?) Or, "That's your problem; what do you want us to do about it?" Nobody cared when it was just California. But as California goes, so goes the nation, as millions are now finding out.
Easily visible to at least 100 yards without optics....
I recall all that well. Many thought it was somehow cute or funny it was mostly isolated to the southwest back then. Then the same thing was showing up in their own backyards from coast to coast. Then after about 15 years, through and after the Bush years, all that laughter went silent...

Cops are too busy knocking over little girls lemonade stands, sitting radar, raiding wrong houses for marijuana plants,and hassling everbody else.

He should bring back the conquistadors.

How can these people in DC think they can run the country when they can't even cleanup their own backyards?
