Time to stock up on incandescents.
LEDs are better. This was going to happen on its own without government interference.
I thought the last domestic plant making incandescent bulbs shut down years ago.
And are any of these newfangled bulbs manufactured in the United States? (Don’t answer, it was a rhetorically sarcastic question)
Nah LEDs, way cheaper to use.
California can
t stop the the use of Rough Service (duty) Bulbs. They’re aavailable in many places. As an example: “google” rough service bulbs.

I hate the CFL’s with a passion I reserve only for communists.
The LED’s are great in many ways, for lumens per watt consumed and bulb life. What I don’t like about them is that they don’t dim very well.
Get LEDs. I replaced my squiggly 5,000k bulbs which used 23 watts with 12 watt LEDs vs 100 watts for incandescent.
The light is more pleasing then the florescent bulbs and incandescent as you can get them in different shades of light from the oranger/yellowish color of incandescent to noontime light, I use 5,000k which is noontime.
Both easily out last the incandescent bulbs. The LEDs were installed May 2016 and I have yet to replace any.
The incandescent bulbs would last 2 to 3 months then the wire shatters inside with a loud pop.
The heat is gone as well so the a/c easily cools the place.
Bought mine online thru Amazon.

The last time this ripple went around,
I bought three cases of light bulbs.
Still have a whole bunch.
