The power to tax is the power to destroy.

Politicians know this. The current tax laws are such a Byzantine labyrinth, that vitually anyone can be punished for breaking some rule or law.

Politicians like Wyden know this, and will wield it like a club to take out the political competition.

All of this “show me your tax returns” BS was started by RINOs like mc cain and romney, looking for any leverage they could find. It’s just another political hit job with the players looking to score.

If some conniving POS senator or congress puke wants to go down that road, then let it apply across the board.

I don’t think it should be used on private individuals or groups like the Tea Party.

Slap it down for everyone, so there isn’t an instance of it being done out of the blue without cause.

Granted, if someone is suspected to be involved in criminal activity, there can be times when it’s legit. It must be legit though.
